Notes:
1. The duration of study for all undergraduate programs is four years.
2. Programs in engineering require a solid foundation in mathematics, physics, or chemistry. Programs in economics and management require a strong mathematical background, while art and design programs require a certain level of artistic and design foundation.
3. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs are required to take the Chinese test paper of the CSCA, whereas those for English-taught programs must take the corresponding English version.
4. English-taught programs generally have a minimum enrollment requirement. Please indicate first and second choices when applying.
5. All enrolled programs commence in the Fall semester.

Requirements of Admission
1. General Requirements
(1) Applicants must be 18 to 25 years old (inclusive), in good health, and have graduated from high school.
(2) All applicants must provide a valid CSCA score report. Please refer to the program catalog for the specific test subjects required by each major.
2. Language Proficiency Requirements
(1) For Chinese-Taught Programs:
International students must have an HSK Level 4 score of 180 or above. Some Chinese-related majors may require an HSK Level 5 score of 180 or above. Exemption: Applicants whose compulsory curriculum during secondary education (junior and senior high school) was delivered entirely in Chinese may submit proof of their Chinese-medium instruction instead of an HSK report.
(2) For English-Taught Programs, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
1) Native English Speaker or English as official language, 2) IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 60, 3) Completion of a high school curriculum where the medium of instruction was English, 4) Other English Language Competence are accepted by our university.
3. Nationality Requirements (In accordance with MOE Document [2020] No.12)
(1) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport.
(2) Former residents of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan who have emigrated and apply as international students must have obtained their foreign citizenship by April 30, 2022. Additionally, they must provide proof of actual residence abroad for at least two years between April 30, 2022, and April 30, 2026 (A period of 9 months of actual residence in a year counts as one full year, as evidenced by entry and exit stamps).
(3) Applicants who acquired a foreign nationality at birth, and whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one parent was a Chinese citizen at the time of birth, must meet the following:
The Chinese parent(s) must have obtained permanent residency in a foreign country before the applicant's birth. The applicant must provide proof of actual residence abroad for at least two years between April 30, 2022, and April 30, 2026 (A period of 9 months of actual residence in a year counts as one full year, as evidenced by entry and exit stamps).
Note: If an applicant's Chinese nationality is confirmed by the Exit-Entry Administration of the Chinese public security authorities during the application, admission, or enrollment process, their application eligibility, admission offer, enrollment qualification, or student status will be revoked.
Application materials
1. Application form with ID photo (Complete Online).
2. A copy of applicant’s valid personal passport (including the bio-data page and all pages with stamps and visas). The passport must have at least two years of remaining validity.
3. High School Diploma. Graduating students can provide pre-graduation Certificate. The original graduation certificate or notarized copy should be submitted before registration.
4. Valid Transcript for the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) for International Undergraduate Admissions to China.
5. High School Academic Transcript: A complete record of grades for all senior high school courses is required. Current senior students should submit their most recent transcript. It is recommended to provide the applicant's class rank or ranking percentile. Scores from tests such as SAT, IB, GCE A-Level, ACT, STPM, UEC, AST, or your home country's national university entrance examination (if available).
6. Language proficiency certificates. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must provide the photocopy of HSK certificate. Applicants for English-taught programs must provide grade report of TOEFL or IELTS test, or other proof which can reflect the applicants’ English proficiency (Not required for English native speakers).
7. Health certificate (within 6 month).
8. Non-criminal record certificate.
9. Applicants of foreign nationality who were originally Chinese citizens shall be required to provide: (1) The Certificate of Loss of Chinese Nationality; (2) Documentation certifying the nullification of their Chinese Household Registration (Hukou); (3) Official evidence of their acquired foreign citizenship; (4) A complete record of all international entries and exits pertaining to the period between April 30, 2022, and April 30, 2026.
10. Applicants who attained foreign nationality by birth, and for whom one or both parents were Chinese citizens at the time of birth, shall be required to provide: (1) Official certification of the foreign nationality acquired at birth; (2) Evidence that the Chinese parent(s) held permanent residency status in a foreign country prior to the applicant's birth; (3) A complete record of all international entries and exits pertaining to the period between April 30, 2022, and April 30, 2026.
11. Applicants under the age of 18 (by September 1st, 2026) should submit:
(1) Letter of Guardian Guarantee and the guardian must be an adult living in China.
(2) A notarized copy of the Guardianship Authorization from the applicant’s parents.
12. ZJUT International Student Admission Commitment Form (To be personally completed and hand-signed by the applicant).
13. If applicants studied in China before, study certificates and transcripts from former schools in China are required.
Tips:
1. Application documents in other languages must be translated in Chinese or English and notarized.
2. The above application materials need to be uploaded to the application system. The original ones will be checked when doing registration. Those who lack the materials or are inaccurate will not be registered.
3. Zhejiang University of Technology may ask the applicants to submit supplementary materials or take a written examination or interview if necessary.

Admission Method
ZJUT will select the best candidates based on the applicants' highest academic results, valid transcript for the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA), language proficiency and written examination or interview results, and determine the list of pre-admitted applicants in batches. Applicants can also log in to the Zhejiang University of Technology's international student admissions system to check. Pre-accepted applicants should remit the registration fee (CNY400) to the designated bank account of ZJUT within the stipulated time, and upload the remittance voucher to the online application system. After receiving the registration fee and pre-paid tuition fee, the school will issue the “Admission Letter” and “Confirmation Form for Study in China” (JW202). Admission Letter can be downloaded from the online application system. Download link of the electronic Confirmation Form for Study in China (JW202) will be sent to the permanent email address filled in the application system by the applicant. Applicants who give up coming to our school for personal reasons will not get the refund of registration fee.
Reminder: Please be sure to clearly indicate the payment number, name, passport number and other information of the applicant during remittance.
Scholarships
1. Chinese Government Scholarships
(1) Bilateral Program (Type A)
This scholarship is provided by the Chinese government in accordance with cooperative agreements or exchange protocols with governments and institutions of other countries. Applicants must apply through the relevant dispatching authorities in their home countries.
(2) University Program (Type B)
Applicants may apply directly to Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT). The specific categories of enrollment are subject to the requirements announced in the program notice. When filling out the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship, applicants must list Zhejiang University of Technology (University Code: 10337) as their first choice institution.
2. Zhejiang University of Technology Freshman Scholarship
Zhejiang University of Technology has established a certain number of freshman scholarships for international students with good academic attitudes and excellent academic results. Please apply on the online application system.
Insurance
Fee: 1000 RMB yuan/academic year
According to the regulations of Ministry of Education, international students who study for one semester or longer must purchase comprehensive medical insurance in the mainland of China as a necessary requirement for their registration for the new semester. Students who fail to purchase the comprehensive medical insurance as required will NOT be registered by the university. Information related to purchasing insurance will be notified in detail before registration. The admitted students should handle insurance affairs strictly according to the instructions on the notice.

Registration
At the beginning of September, 2026, the specific time is subject to the "Admission Letter" and "Registration Notice". Applicants should go to the Chinese Embassy (Consulate) to apply for an entry study (X1) visa with an ordinary passport, soft copies of “Admission Letter” and “Confirmation Form for Study in China” (Form JW202). Applicants who submit an expected graduation certificate, a copy of the HSK certificate, and a copy of the English proficiency test certificate when applying, must provide a formal graduation certificate, the original HSK certificate/English proficiency certificate when they register. Applicants will be disqualified if they can not provide the required certificates.
