Sponsored by CCTV and National Hanban, organized by CCTV-4, Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreigners in Hangzhou commenced in ZJUT (Zhejiang University of Technology) on May 8th, 2014. There are totally 52 overseas students from 14 universities such as Zhejiang University, ZJUT, Zhejiang Normal University participating in this competition. The competition tested participants’ Chinese language proficiency, including pronunciation, intonation, response, debating and so on and the knowledge about China. After several rounds of competition, Roter and Li Zhiyuan from ZJUT, George from Zhejiang University, Maryourbar from Wenzhou Medical University, Daliaya from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology won the competition and were granted to participate the national final round. Chinese Bridge Chinese Language Proficiency Competition casts light on the Chinese language and Chinese culture, trying to rouse foreigners enthusiasm towards Chinese languag. It has been the third time for ZJUT to organize this competition. In this way, it offers an access for ZJUT to publicize itself and improve its internationalization.
